Measured and analyzed the efficiency and duration users take to complete key tasks on the McDonalds and Uber Eats app
Challenges
Food-delivery applications have become the norm for many hungry customers looking for their next meal. Compare the time it takes for users to navigate through each app and complete an order on McDonalds and UberEats. Analyze the most frequent issues users face such as confusing navigation, unclear instructions, slow load times, or overly complex steps
Roles
UX Researcher
Recruit participants who have never used either app and record the time it takes for users to complete specific tasks. Identify common user pain points and usability issues within each app’s account creation and ordering processes.
Goals
Discovering the time it takes for the average user to create an account from the McDonald’s phone application compared to UberEats phone application as well as order a meal/food from these respective ordering apps. Gain insight into the issues that the average user might experience when utilizing a food-ordering application.
Solution
Utilizing self-reporting time assessments as well as an expectation rating (ER) to see how easy or complicated placing an order was. Findings will be used to recommend improvements that enhance user satisfaction and streamline the ordering process.
