Hoops Prototype on Adobe XD
Client: Designing the User Experience Course
Year: 2021
Duration: 5 months
Platform: Mobile Application
Tools: Adobe XD
Players are able to capture their gameplay, share it, and receive critical feedback. To get creative with playmaking and advance on skill learning, key moments are highlighted and displayed with suggestions on how to improve
Challenges
Recreational basketball players face challenges in improving their skills (shooting accuracy, defensive positioning, playmaking, and teamwork) without access to structured coaching, performance analysis, or professional feedback. Due to lack of accessible technology or resources it becomes difficult for these players to recognize their strengths, pinpoint weaknesses, or track progress over time.
Roles
UX Researcher/Designer
Tested prototypes with users, gathering feedback on usability, functionality, and how well the platform helps them improve their skills. Design user-friendly interfaces that allow players to easily capture and upload gameplay footage.
Goals
Revolutionize recreational basketball by providing players with tools to capture, analyze, and share their gameplay. By automatically identifying and highlighting key moments- whether it’s a great pass, a missed shot, or a defensive error, this breakdown allows players to focus on the most critical aspects of their performance without needing to sit through hours of footage manually. Collaborating with other players in order to offer personalized feedback and create a community-driven environment where players can develop their skills and get creative with playmaking.
Solution
Hoops – captures real-time gameplay footage in order to exchange insights and enhance their performance, by improving on their skills.
